Add Working Days

This calculator moves forward from a start date by a number of working days and returns the date you land on. It skips the weekly offs you select and the holidays you enter, so the answer reflects your actual roster rather than plain calendar arithmetic.

It is the right tool whenever a deadline is expressed in business days — a turnaround commitment, a processing window, a notice period counted in office days, or a project milestone.

A qualifying day is one that falls in your selected working week and is not on your holiday list.

Adding 10 working days to a Monday with a Monday–Friday week lands on the Monday two weeks later, because four weekend days are skipped along the way.

Add one public holiday inside the window and every date shifts one calendar day later. On a Monday–Saturday week the same counts finish sooner, because only Sundays are skipped.

• Festival clusters. A run of holidays can move a deadline by most of a week.

Indian holiday clusters — Diwali, Pongal, Durga Puja, Eid and regional new year festivals — fall on different dates each year and differ by state. When a working-day deadline crosses one of these periods, enter the actual holidays from your company calendar rather than assuming a standard week, or the result will be optimistic by several days.

Half working days and alternate-Saturday schedules cannot be represented exactly. Use the custom working week to get as close as possible to your actual schedule.
