Editorial Policy
This page explains who writes CalcNivo's content, how it is reviewed, what we refuse to publish, and how corrections are handled.
Who writes this content
Content on CalcNivo is written and maintained in-house by the CalcNivo editorial team. “CalcNivo Editorial Team” is an honest collective byline for the small group that runs this independent site. We do not invent author personas, and we do not claim professional credentials, certifications, qualifications or institutional affiliations that we do not have. We are not chartered accountants, tax practitioners or employment lawyers, and we say so wherever it matters.
What we publish
Two kinds of pages: calculators, each with an explanation of the formula, worked examples, assumptions and limitations; and guides, which explain an Indian salary or career concept in enough depth to answer the question completely. Every page exists because a reader has a specific question it answers. We do not publish pages purely to add URLs.
How pages are written and reviewed
Each calculator page is written alongside the calculation itself. The formula on the page is the formula in the code, and the worked example on the page is checked by hand against the calculator’s own output before publishing. Guides are drafted, then reviewed against three questions: does it answer the reader’s question completely, is every number in it reproducible, and does it avoid stating as fact anything we cannot support.
Where a topic depends on statutory rules that change over time, we explain the mechanism and direct readers to verify the current position with official sources, rather than presenting a rate or limit as permanently current.
What we will not publish
- Invented authors, credentials, teams, qualifications or certifications.
- Testimonials, reviews or ratings, because we have no verified ones to show.
- Statistics or salary benchmarks we cannot source and verify.
- Content copied or rewritten from other websites.
- Legal, tax or financial advice presented as professional guidance.
- A fixed national holiday calendar, because holidays differ by state, employer and year.
- Pages that duplicate an existing page for search purposes rather than reader value.
Independence
CalcNivo is an independent, self-funded site. It is not affiliated with any employer, HR platform, job board, government body or financial institution. No content on the site is paid for, sponsored or influenced by a third party, and we do not accept payment to feature, rank or recommend an employer or product. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on the page in question.
The site may display advertising to cover hosting costs. Advertising is clearly separated from content and never determines what we write.
Corrections and feedback
Errors get fixed, not buried. If you find an incorrect calculation, an outdated statement or an explanation that misleads, write to us through the contact page with the page name and what you believe is wrong. Confirmed calculation errors are corrected as a priority. Where a correction materially changes the meaning of a published guide, we update the page itself rather than leaving the old wording in place.
For how the calculations themselves are designed, validated and rounded, see the calculator methodology.
Use of writing tools
We use ordinary writing and editing tools, but every page is directed, checked and approved by a person before it is published, and every number in it is verified against the calculator or the stated formula. We do not publish bulk-generated articles.
